Locally, February 14th is the day where Southeast Texas men shell out on average $130 on candy, cards, jewelry, flowers and romantic dates. Maybe even more if they are hoping to become Southeast Texas grooms…
Other cultures have their “Valentine’s Day” on different dates and with various local themes.
By the time The Golden Triangle is celebrating Valentine’s Day, couples in Wales have already celebrated St. Dwynwen’s Day.
Halfway around the world, Chinese Valentine’s Day isn’t until the 7th day of the 7th month of the lunar calendar!
